This term, our team has been looking at Comic Art and all the elements that go into writing and reading a comic book or graphic novel. Here are three of our animations from this term.

Kei's Paul Martin Assignment

This term, our team has been looking at Comics and Comic Art.  We are so lucky to have a New Zealand comic artist coming to visit us on Wednesday!  As part of Kei's (click on link to leave her a comment) literacy assignment last week, she read about Paul Martin and created a poster that shows what she learnt about our guest.




This term we are learning about Paul Martin because he is coming to our school. He is coming to look at our blog's to see what we are doing this term and telling how he makes his comic.

School Ambassadors 2016

A group of very special year 6 students from Team 4 have the privilege of being the Pt. England Ambassadors each year.  The Ambassadors are the face of Pt. England School (& Manaiakalani) for many different events throughout the school year.  The Ambassadors work together to show our visitors from all over the world the unique way we use Chromebooks (and iPads in years 1-3) in our classes to Learn, Create and Share.

Pt. England School has their very own News program that airs daily in all of our classrooms.  Each class takes turns making movies that show the cool things that we are doing everyday.  Check out our movie from Term 1 about volcanoes.

KiwiSport: Snag Golf

This term, we are learning how to play Snag Golf for our KiwiSport.  We are so lucky to have an amazing coach and this week he taught us how to put using our putter.

Team 4 Testing Has Begun!

Today, we began our beginning of the year testing in Rooms 6, 7, and 8.  We are so lucky to take our tests on our netbooks!

Welcome to the 2016 School Year!

That's right!  We're back at school, and this year Mrs. Moala is so excited to be part of the fabulous Team 4 teaching years 5 & 6!  

During our first day back, we had a great time getting to know our team.  We started the day off by having a lot of fun at our team sports rotation.  After morning tea, we spent some time working on our Chromebooks updating the About Me sections on our blogs.  Then, we talked about our Class Treaty and started our graffiti wall name plates, which we worked on for the rest of the day.

We are so excited to see all that this school year has in store for us!
