The Colour Wheel

Today, after we finished our writing tests, Mrs. Moala brought out the paints that we had mixed together last week, and we were able to paint our very own colour wheels!  It was so much fun, and we were so well behaved!  Surprisingly, almost all of the paint ended up on the paper!

We put each paint colour on a plastic plate to share.

How Many Sticks Are You Tall?

In Class 24, we have been talking about different ways to measure things.  Today, we decided we could measure how tall we are using Mrs. Moala's cool ice block sticks!

We even learnt what 1/2 meant because a whole stick was too much for some people's heights!

Amazing Work!

Today, the students of Class 24 were writing a sentence for the first time on their own!  After looking at some pictures of a gymnast, and having a discussion with their partner, students shared what they saw in the pictures.  Some students even had fun on KidPix drawing their own pictures of gymnasts doing handstands, backflips, and jumping through the air!  

Bryston did an amazing job writing his very first sentence all on his own!

Friends and Fun

Class 24 works so hard learning new things everyday!  However, we still have time to build relationships and have lots of fun when we play with our friends!

Siu, Teingoa, and Keyana worked together to make this amazing structure.

We've had lots of rainy days this week, so here we are watching a fun cartoon during lunch.

Our First "Reading Celebration"

This week we are celebrating with Exodus T., Exodus S., Kauri, Keyana, and Persia for their excellent effort in reading!  They work very hard reading their books at home every night, and practicing their word list.  If you are at Pt. England, they love reading their stories to friends who stop by before school everyday!

What a fun Friday!

 Class 24 had an amazing Friday!  At the school assembly, Exodus and Bryston were welcomed to Pt. England School by Mr. Burt, and they received their cool Duffy School Packs!

  Jemma received our special Duffy "Caught Being Good" Award for her amazing effort when writing and illustrating her elephant story.

After the Assembly, we got to play outside with the Get, Set, Go! coaches from Auckland Sport!  We had a great time learning how to balance, and playing the fun Flies and Frogs, and Pirate Ship games.
